My philosophy of treating patients developed early in my practice. I saw people who were very fearful of dentistry, people who had been either not treated at all, or not treated well. Many people viewed dentistry with great apprehension and also unfortunately many were simply ignorant of what was needed, what was available or even, what certain procedures were. Over the time I have practiced dentistry, I have tried to create as pleasant and as positive an experience as possible. Realistically none of that means anything unless you deliver a service that is comfortable, long lasting and ultimately a positive experience, and of course at a reasonable fee.
Dentistry is constantly evolving. During the period that I have practiced dentistry, the profession has probably advanced as much as it did during its entire history before that. It continues to evolve and it is the ultimate responsibility of dentists to evolve with it, but carefully to insure that both materials and procedures are the best that are available.
It has always been a thrill for me to restore teeth, mouths, and smiles to what they were or what the patient hoped they could be. To do this comfortably, conservatively, and then watch this work maintain well for many years, just adds to the thrill. After practicing for 38 years in Santa Monica and enjoying a busy restorative dental practice, I hope to continue that for many years to come in Ventura.
I graduated from the U.S.C. School of Dentistry in 1972. I have been a member of the West Los Angeles Dental Society, California Dental Association and the American Dental Association since 1972. I have also been a member of Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity and the Century Club at USC Dental School. I served a seven year term as a member of the peer review committee for the Western Los Angeles Dental Society. As a staff member of Santa Monica Hospital, I did volunteer work in their dental clinic for many years as well as at the Remote Access Medical event recently held in Los Angeles.
